FLY PROJECT AMBASSADORS

We think and fish different. We believe fly fishing is for everyone. We believe it should be affordable, fun, and success should be attainable. It's not just for trout or expensive saltwater destinations. Any fish that swims in or near your neighborhood can be fair game. We think that all anglers should pick up a fly rod, whether it becomes their primary fishing means or not. There are times and places where it can be the most fun means to fish. There are times and places for trolling, jigging, and baitcasting too, but we want fly fishing to be cool and interesting for everyone at least some of the time.

Fly Project Ambassador Eric LundFly Project Ambassador Eric Lund

Eric Lund

Eric Lund grew up in New Hampshire and pursued fly fishing at a young age, spending time catching bass, panfish, and trout. During Eric’s time at the University of New Hampshire, he began to spend summers traveling to Alaska to chase salmon and eventually found a passion for guiding.

After leaving the guiding business for a period, Eric suited up as a stockbroker in Northern Florida. Although he found stocks and bonds to be exciting, he realized it didn’t compare to helping someone catch their first tarpon or a giant rainbow trout. In 2002, Eric traded his pen for a fly rod, left the brokerage business and moved to the Florida Keys to pursue guiding full-time. Since 2006, he has guided exclusively in the Islamorada area. Eric continues to guide to this day helping others catch their dream fish.
