GREAT FALLS AREA FISHING REPORT

The Great Falls area fishing report is provided by our West Great Falls House of Fly and covers surrounding stillwater and stream fisheries, which are sprinkled all around the Rocky Mountain Front. If you want bass, carp, pike, trout, perch and drum (yes, freshwater drum!) we can lead the way. Regarding the Missouri River, our Great Falls report primarily focusses on the ‘Mo’s” lower section from Cascade downstream. However, you’ll often find information about fishing in and around Craig, Montana, when relevant meta comes our way.

MISSOURI RIVER FISHING REPORT

The Missouri River Fishing Report is provided by The Trout Shop in Craig, Montana and covers fishing activity within the Missouri River Canyon and it's tributary waters. The Trout Shop takes pride in reporting dry fly, nymphing, trout spey, and streamer activity and work with various guides in the area to get the best intel on the Missouri River.

NORTH IDAHO FISHING REPORT

The North Idaho area fishing report is provided by House of Fly/Sandpoint and covers all pertinent “panhandle” waters, with a focus on the Kootenai River inside the Gem State and upstream in Montana. Lake Pend Oreille and the Pend Oreille River serve as key fishing hubs in this area and are also covered each week, with eyes on the phenomenal bass, northern pike, perch, rainbow trout and walleye fishing.

COEUR D'ALENE RIVER FISHING REPORT

Our Coeur d’ Alene area fishing report is provided by House of Fly/Coeur d’ Alene and covers some of the best wild trout streams in the western US, including the St. Joe and Coeur d’ Alene rivers, Montana’s lower Clark Fork River, and the much heralded Kelly Creek. This region also offers tremendous stillwater fishing for smallmouth and largemouth bass, walleye, carp, crappie, bluegill and perch... which are all worthy targets on the fly rod. In addition, our Coeur d’ Alene report may cover Idaho’s top steelhead streams, including the Salmon, Snake and Clearwater rivers, which are all within easy striking distance of this north Idaho wonderland.
