Proudly made in the U.S.A, the Ballistic Lazer 57 is an absolute dry fly sniper. The long, 57-foot taper excels at delivering text-book presentations to picky trout at a distance.
Why is the Ballistic 57 Lazer designed with a 57-foot head? Having an extended rear taper, a long powerful mid-section, and a soft-landing front taper allows for anglers, pro or not, to easily cast long distances. We’ve found that this 57-foot taper profile strikes a balance between line control, accuracy, and loop stability. The combination of these three characteristics is critical in a long-distance dry fly line.
A PROVEN TAPER PROFILE
The Ballistic 57 Lazer builds off Master Casting Instructor Lee Davisons’ original Ballistic Pro Performance taper, adding all the modern amenities we’ve come to appreciate in a high-end fly line:
Slickness Integrated: Inside and out, slick technology is integrated in the fly line and increases casting efficiency, sheds algae, and adds to the durability and longevity.
Laser I.D.: Laser printed identification on the tip lets you distinguish what fly line you’re throwing at a glance, for those who hit the water with multiple spools of fly line.
Welded Loops: Having a welded loop on both ends of a fly line makes it easier to attached backing and leaders with a loop-to-loop connection.
