Bob LeMay's Swamp Rabbit

Bob LeMay's Swamp Rabbit was developed for the backcountry of the Everglades and specifically focused on targeting backcountry tarpon. This fly has bucktail at the back of the hook to keep the rabbit strip from fouling. It also has a stout wire weed guard to keep it off the mangroves. LeMay was one of the first to realize the South Florida tarpon scene was changing and by sizing down his fly patterns he was getting more bites, and therefore the Swamp Rabbit was born.
