Gunnar Brammer designed the Seasoned Geezer as an evolution from Kelly
Galloup’s Butt Monkey by replacing hydrophilic materials with synthetic
hydrophobic materials. By doing this he
was able to balance the weight of the fly with the wind resistance during the
cast and therefore it is a “Weight balancing fly” as Brammer calls it. This fly comes in 4 great colors, and Brammer
mentions he likes all of them but he does hint that the gold color has spent
the most time tied to the end of his set ups.
