Sam Wike's Hot Mess Caddis

The Hot Mess Caddis was designed by Sam Wike from the Fly Project design team. This caddis pattern puts some tech in a usually messy insect. Generally when a caddis is dead and has fallen to the water the wings and legs are a mess however the body is usually consistent. This fly maintains a structured body with orange antron out the back for floatability and attention. The Hot Mess gets messy right after that with dubbing, CDC, and squirrel to create the mess of appendages on the water. The elk hair helps for visibility and floatability on the top of the water for the angler.
