The Red Quill CDC Thorax pattern is as good as it gets for low riding realistic dun pattern. Harrop designed this fly with a thin realistic biot body, CDC post, and a hackled wing that is cut flush with the bottom of the fly so the dun sits down in the water and the body of the mayfly silhouette can be easily seen. The trout eat this one, you just need to make sure the angler can see it.
