PMD hatches are super fun to fish. At times, however, the fish can be difficult to convince. The Soft Hackle PMD is a perfect fly for those picky fish as you can strip it across them as an emerger which often induces a strike, or you can fish it as a nymph as often times during a hatch you can fish nymphs and actually have better luck than dries.  Add this to your fly box so you don’t miss out on the next big PMD hatch on your local river.
