Hand tied in Texas Hill Country for The Fly Project's American Small Batch fly collection, the Articulated Damsel is a staple for carp and other warm water species. It is articulated and the tail is basically a miniature woolly bugger with foam so it floats up and wiggles in the currents. The foam tail and carapace work in conjunction with a bead hidden in the belly and the bead chain eyes to keep the hook point up and let you bounce the fly along the bottom. It has also fooled plenty of other warmwater species – trout, bass, drum, gar, and more.
