The Bald Eagle is named for it's coloring mimicking the impressive bird that eats the same fish this fly is intended to catch. Trout, Salmon and Steelhead. Forget matching the hatch, match the predators that eat the fish! Just kidding--the cream colored head on this streamer simulates either wounded prey or a flesh eating fish, something game fish have a hard time passing up.
