Hand tied in Texas Hill Country for The Fly Project's American Small Batch fly collection, the Carp Nugget features a wider profile than the Scarpion and denser material packed in front of the bead chain eyes for a softer presentation. The stainless steel bead tied belly-scratcher style under the fly allows for a faster sink rate. Like most carp flies, it can represent a wide variety of nymphs or crustaceans, but with it's wide profile it more specifically imitates freshwater mussels.
