The Project One Spey is a 4 piece fast action carbon rod. We designed our own thin spey handle for better feel of the line when loading the rod. The reel seat is one piece machined aluminum to eliminate any failures and so the rod can be fished in any condition. The 3,4 and 5 weight are designated as “Micro Spey” or “Trout Spey” but we have used the 5wt successfully for skated flies for steelhead as well.
Our Project One Spey rods include the rod and a quality rod sock. Rod tubes are not included in the price of the rod. We did this to give you the choice of what to spend your money on.
