Though the Helgremmite Game Changer is named after a specific bug, it is made to represent all sorts of aquatic life that smallmouth feast on throughout the season. It’s buggy profile is created by using articulated shanks, rubber legs, and a foam tail that makes this fly “kickstand”. The tungsten head gets it down to the bottom where these bugs and small invertebrates live. Smallmouth are a very curious fish and will often pick this fly up and start swimming instead of their typical savage eat. Keep an eye on your leader as any jump or movement of it can indicate a hook up.
