Kelly Galloup's Goober Sally

Kelly Galloup's Goober Sally is another slim-profile pattern inspired by the *Goober Caddis*. Kelly ties this fly to imitate yellow sally stoneflies, which can range in color from species to species across our western rivers. This fly’s signature body color makes it unique. Kelly chose a color from the middle of the color spectrum of roughly sixty yellow sally species throughout the country. Much like the Goober Midge, the Goober Sally also features lateral scale to imitate the fluttering wings of an adult. When the yellow sallies hatch and trout are chomping, be sure to make room in the fly box for this pattern and give them a different look.
