Rene Harrop's CDC Biot Dun - Sulphur

The CDC Sulphur Biot Dun appears to be a simple pattern but Rene Harrop does a few tricky moves on this fly that makes it better than other similar mayfly patterns. All natural materials make this fly very realistic. Harrop matches the CDC tips for the wing and then ties the tips backwards to create outriggers on both sides of the fly. This make the fly ride correctly and this will make the fly look more realistic when fishing calm water where the fish have time to inspect it. We often recommend fishing this fly 24 inches behind a fly that is easier to see, especially in faster moving water.
