Every Summer, a clandestine group of anglers diverge onto an unnamed lake for a two-day tournament: The Schmoots Clooper.

This time Fly Project ambassador, @Idaaflyy and Brad Funkhouser meet up with their friend Barrett Rhymes down in the Bahamas for 3 days of DIY flats fishing for Bonefish and Permit.

Legend also claims a load of brand-new Model T Fords were lost to the lake’s depths when it tumbled from a trestle. Another says a load of military staff cars met the same fate during WWII. 

Trent and Cooper head out to see what they can do with some trusty dusty Walmart rods and flies. With rods in hand they take on Bozeman waters to see if they can get there rods bent and proving you don't have to have a lot of money to start fly fishing.

Sam and Fred had a theory, the color purple.

The mission was to test the rod that later became the TFP Haka.

This is one of the best times to catch the beginning of the Brown Drake hatch. As the fish discover the large nymphs swimming to the surface, an angler has the chance at a fish of a lifetime on a cripple or emerger style pattern.

Most people call lake fishing "stillwater fly fishing". Some people consider it boring. The reality is that the wind is seldom still. Wind moves the water and the fish are constantly moving. It's not static or boring to me. At times, it can be very stimulating and fun.
